Description
Avianca wanted to showcase their latest plane the Airbus- A330. Specifically, they wanted to showcase the first class cabin with an explainer video. We had to utilize CG for the plane and its interior. For this project I decided to challenge myself and do all the CG production within the Foundry’s Modo 3d software, which I have been using mostly for rendering.
Responsibilities
- Plan the shots for the video based on the voice over.
- Work closely with the modeler on the overall plane.
- Model the interior of the 1st class and economy cabins.
- Surface all models and render all shots.
- Composite all shots in After Effects.
Challenges
- Creating a full CG promo video from scratch with limited resources.
- Tackling a full promo video in a 3d package (Modo) with which I was not 100% comfortable with. I knew that the Modo is capable and I wanted to give it a shot.
Results
• The successful promo video has been showcased in Avianca’s new A-330.
